Braces and Aligners

We provide specialized orthodontic treatment to correct the irregularities of teeth via jaw correction, metal braces, ceramic braces, self-ligating braces and also the most advance and esthetic Invisalign clear/invisible aligners. Our focus is on achieving the perfect smile as well as a balanced occlusion.

Braces:
Components: Braces consist of metal brackets that are attached to each tooth and connected by wires. These wires are periodically tightened by an orthodontist to gradually shift the teeth into the desired position.
Materials: Traditional braces are made of stainless steel, but there are also ceramic braces that are less noticeable due to their tooth-colored or clear brackets.
Effectiveness: Braces are effective for correcting various orthodontic issues, including severe misalignments, overbites, underbites, and crossbites.
Treatment Duration: Treatment with braces typically lasts from one to three years, depending on the complexity of the case.

Aligners (e.g., Invisalign):

Components: Aligners are clear, removable trays made of a plastic-like material (usually a type of medical-grade polyurethane). Each set of aligners is worn for about two weeks before being replaced with the next set.
Materials: Aligners are nearly invisible, providing a discreet option for those who want a more aesthetically pleasing alternative to traditional braces.
Effectiveness: Aligners are effective for treating mild to moderate orthodontic issues, such as minor crowding or spacing issues. They may not be suitable for more complex cases.
Treatment Duration: The duration of treatment with aligners varies but is often comparable to or slightly shorter than traditional braces. Compliance with wearing the aligners as directed is crucial for successful treatment.

PROS AND CONS:

Braces:

Pros: Suitable for various orthodontic issues, effective for severe cases, less dependent on patient compliance.
Cons: More noticeable, potential discomfort, dietary restrictions, longer adjustment periods.

Aligners:

Pros: Nearly invisible, removable for eating and cleaning, less impact on daily activities, shorter adjustment periods.
Cons: May not be suitable for complex cases, requires strict adherence to wearing instructions, can be more expensive.
Ultimately, the choice between braces and aligners depends on the specific orthodontic needs of the individual, their lifestyle, and their preferences. It’s important to consult with an orthodontic professional to determine the most appropriate treatment plan.
